  2. As part of the Creative Cloud, Lightroom is being updated all the time, and as a subscriber you'll be able to download the latest new features for free. The latest series of updates, in June 2020, include the abilities to adjust Hue locally, customise default import settings for raw photos; and share photos with other photographers who are.
Learn how to download and install Creative Cloud apps (including the Creative Cloud desktop app). Follow these steps when downloading your apps for the first time or when downloading them on a new or an additional computer.

  1. Sign in to creativecloud.adobe.com/apps, then click either Download or Install for the app you want to install.

    Looking for the Creative Cloud desktop app? It installs automatically with your first app. If you prefer, you can download it directly.

  2. Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

    On successful installation, the Creative Cloud desktop app launches at the same time as your Creative Cloud app.

  4. To install more apps, click Install for the app in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

I've tried the uninstall process and the cleaner program, but there are some files the CC cleaner hangs on, I get the spinning beachball and it never finishes. I've tried to look at the CC log to determine the problem the AppletRelInfoRecords seems to cause fatal error, not sure what to do about tha.

Download

Deactivation disconnects your apps from a specific computer, and lets you run them on another computer. You can sign out (or deactivate) using your Adobe accounts page.

While installing Adobe Creative Cloud applications on macOS 10.12, you encounter one of the following errors:

  • The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.
  • Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

These errors occur when you install Creative Cloud applications using local install packages. The recommendation is to install the applications through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. The Creative Cloud desktop app has been updated and allows the successful installation of current and previous versions of Creative Cloud applications. If you need to install using an offline install package, complete the following steps to begin the installation process.

  1. Mount the disk image file for the Creative Cloud application.

  2. Right-click Install.app and select Open Package Contents from the context menu.

A terminal window opens and initializes the installer. You are given the option to install in trial mode, use a serial number, or verify a Creative Cloud membership.
